You can find us at Shravan Dhara Society on Jail Road, right in the heart of the Nashik Road area. We’re specifically near Mangalmurti Nagar. Our work is a bit different every day because one day we are sorting through piles of fabric and the next we are loading up poles and lights for a setup. The society is a quiet place to keep our things, but our actual work usually happens late at night or very early in the morning when the event venues are empty. Nashik is a busy place, and getting through the traffic on Jail Road with a truck full of decorations can be a real headache. We have a lot of stuff stored away—curtains, flower stands, and all sorts of bits and pieces that we use to change a room. It gets pretty messy when we are in the middle of a big project, with ribbons and tape everywhere. We don’t have a fancy storefront where you can sit on velvet chairs. Usually, we’re just sitting on plastic crates or at a simple wooden table talking about what color goes where. It’s a lot of physical labor, climbing ladders and hauling heavy bags, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep our heads down and try to make sure everything is in the right place. Sometimes we don't get much sleep, but that's just how the event business goes.
