About Ramanachary Carpentry Works – Furniture in Narsampet
I have my workshop at H. No -1-135/1 in Nagurlapally and the smell of wood is everywhere here. I learned carpentry from my father when I was just a young boy in Madannapet. Now I have my own place in Narsampet and I make mostly doors and window frames for the houses being built nearby. It is a very dusty job and my clothes are always covered in sawdust by noon. I have some old saws and a planer that make a lot of noise but they get the job done right. I don't like using the new plastic materials much because wood feels better in your hands. People come to me when they want a sturdy bed or a simple table that won't break. I work alone most of the time because it’s easier to focus that way. Sometimes the wood is late arriving from the yard and I have to wait around drinking tea. The shop is just a tin shed next to my house so I am always there. I don't have a website or anything like that. If someone needs work done they just come and find me or ask someone in the village. I take my time with the joints because if they aren't tight the whole thing will wobble later on. It’s honest work and I’ve been doing it long enough that my hands know what to do without me thinking too much.
