Disha Public School

Our school, Disha Public School, is located out in Kanker. We are in the 494334 area, which is a place many of us have lived in for years. The school day usually starts early before it gets too hot outside. We have a set of classrooms and a small area where the kids gather. It’s a simple setup. Running a school in a place like Kanker means dealing with whatever the weather throws at us. Some days it is very dusty, and other days the rain makes it hard to get to the gate. We have a handful of teachers who come in every day to work with the students. It is not a complicated place. We have our routines for attendance and lessons. We spend quite a bit of time talking to parents who live nearby. Most of the people who work here are from the local area, so we all know each other well. The building itself is basic but functional for what we need. We don't have a lot of extra staff, so everyone chips in with whatever needs doing, whether it is cleaning up after lunch or organizing the books. It’s just a regular public school trying to provide a place for kids to study in this part of 494334. We have been here for a while and plan to stay. Every year feels a bit the same, but that's okay with us. We just keep the doors open and do our work.
