Siva Parvathi Fly Ash Bricks Industry

We are over in Edlapadu, at number 32-8-12. Siva Parvathi Fly Ash Bricks Industry is what we call ourselves. It’s not the old-fashioned red brick way; we use fly ash here. It’s a different kind of work, mixing the materials and pressing them into those grey blocks. You see them everywhere now because they stay strong. Our yard is usually full of these stacks of grey bricks drying in the sun. Edlapadu is a decent place to work, not too crowded but busy enough. We get folks from the nearby towns coming by to see the blocks because they want something different for their new houses. I spend a lot of time checking the machines and making sure the mix is right. It’s a bit messy, but it’s a good kind of mess. We don't have any sales people. Usually, someone sees a house being built with our bricks and asks where they got them. That's how we get most of our work. My son helps me with the accounts in the evening, but during the day, I'm out there in the yard. The weather here can get quite dry, which is actually good for the bricks. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s a small operation, nothing too fancy, just some people making building materials for the community. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that's just how things go. We try our best every day.
