Jupiter Granite

We are located at 45-7-23 in Chamarajanagar. This yard has been our base for many years. We deal with a lot of the stone that comes from the quarries around here. It’s hard work and the sun can be really punishing in the afternoons. We don’t have a big office or a fancy display area. The slabs are just leaning against the walls and we have some smaller samples on the ground for people to see. Most of our customers are locals who are building their own homes. We just show them what we have in the yard at that moment. Sometimes we have to wait for a specific color to come in on a truck. Moving granite takes a lot of effort because of the weight. We use an old crane that we’ve had forever. My cousin handles the front gate and I spend most of my time out back with the stones. We don’t spend any money on ads. People just see the sign as they go by. It’s a very dusty job and you end up covered in it by the end of the shift. But it provides for the family. We know most of the builders in Chamarajanagar by their first names. They know we don't play games with the prices. If a slab has a flaw, we tell them right away. That’s just the way we like to do things here. We open up early to beat the heat.
