We are out here at A-12 in the Industrial Area of Nanjangud. It’s quite a drive from the city, but it’s where all the industrial action happens. The plant is fairly large and has been here for a while. We have shifts running throughout the day and even during the night sometimes. You can hear the constant hum of the machines as soon as you walk through the main gate. It’s a very practical and busy environment. We have a lot of safety rules we have to follow every single day. Most of the staff wears uniforms and safety gear. We’ve been operating in this area for a good number of years. It gets pretty dusty out here during the dry season. We handle a lot of technical production. It involves a lot of precision work, so people have to be very careful. The break room is where everyone catches up during their downtime. We usually have some tea and talk about the weekend or family. It’s a hard-working atmosphere overall. We don't have any fancy decorations on the walls. It’s mostly production charts and safety signs posted up. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generators to kick in. That's just how it is in this part of town. We ship out our products on trucks that come by every evening. It’s a steady, repeating rhythm of work. We just keep our heads down and make sure the output stays consistent.
