Sanjivani Industries

Our workshop, Sanjivani Industries, is over at Pavdewadi Naka in Raj Nagar. It is a bit out of the way for some people, but it’s a good spot for the kind of industrial work we do. We have some heavy equipment here, and the floor is made of solid concrete to handle the weight. We aren't really set up for visitors who want a tour. It’s a place where we get our hands dirty every single day. There is usually a layer of dust on everything, no matter how much we sweep. We’ve been working in this district for a long time and have seen many other shops come and go. We just keep doing what we know how to do. The roof leaks a little bit when there is a heavy monsoon, so we have to move the crates around to keep them dry. It isn't perfect, but it’s our space. We don't use any fancy computer systems to track everything; we still use a big paper ledger for most of our notes. It’s simpler that way for us. The guys who work here are all locals from Raj Nagar. We have lunch together under the tree outside when the weather is nice. We aren't interested in being some massive company. We just want to do a decent job and keep the machines running so we can provide for our families.
