The shop is located on Gokunda Road in Kinwat, right near the Buldana Urban Bank. It’s a spot most people pass every day when they’re heading into the main part of town. We’ve been here for a while now, just supplying tiles to whoever is building a house or fixing up a bathroom nearby. The morning starts with unloading crates and making sure everything is where it should be. Sometimes the road gets a bit dusty when the trucks go by, but that’s just how it is around the main road. We keep a variety of ceramic and vitrified pieces stacked up in the back. Customers usually come in with a specific idea, or sometimes they just wander around looking at the patterns on the walls. It’s not a fancy showroom with bright lights and music, just a practical space where you can see what you’re buying. Kinwat isn’t a huge place, so we end up knowing most of the folks who walk through the door. If you’re coming from the bank side, we’re hard to miss. The office part is small, usually cluttered with bills and tea cups from the morning. We spend a lot of time talking about grout and measurements. It’s honest work and keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes a delivery takes longer than expected if the weather is bad, but we try to manage. That’s pretty much the daily routine for us here.
