Woisali Organic Producer Company Limited is based out of Chowkham III in Namsai. This area is known for its beautiful surroundings and the land is really good for what we do. We focus on organic production, which basically means we spend a lot of time weeding by hand and watching the weather. It is slower work than conventional farming, but we prefer it this way. Our team is made up of people who live right here in Chowkham. We see each other at the market and the temple, so there is a lot of trust. We don't have a slick website or a big advertising budget. Most people find out about us just by word of mouth. Namsai can get very hot, so we try to get most of the heavy work done in the early morning before the sun gets too high. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to grow good things on our own terms. Sometimes the harvest is great, and sometimes it's just okay, but we take it as it comes.
