S K M Blue Metals is situated at number 44 on the road that goes from Thiruchengode to Rasipuram. We are specifically in the Vaiyappamalai area. It’s a good spot for us because of the trucks moving between those two towns. The road can be quite busy during the day with all the transport. We spend our time out here managing the blue metal piles and making sure the orders are ready for whoever needs them. Vaiyappamalai is a decent place to work and most of the guys here are from the surrounding villages. We don't have a polished corporate office with glass walls. It is more of a functional setup with a small cabin for the accounts and a lot of space for the material. You can see the site from the main road as you drive between Thiruchengode and Rasipuram. It’s hard to miss the piles of stone. We don't do much in the way of talking ourselves up. The work is what it is. We get the stone ready and we load it up. The weather out here can be dry and the sun is quite strong in the afternoons. We just drink our tea and get back to it. It’s a simple operation at 44 Thiruchengode To Rasipuram Road and we like it that way. No fuss and no complicated stuff to deal with every day.
