Perumal Steel Wire

Down on Easanatham Main Road in Rayanoor, you will find us at number 4. Perumal Steel Wire is basically just a big shed with a lot of wire in it. We deal with all sorts of steel wire, and it is heavy, dusty work most of the time. The road outside can get pretty dusty too, especially when the big trucks go past. We don't have air conditioning or anything like that, so we just keep the doors open and let the breeze in. Most of our day is spent loading and unloading or checking the thickness of the wire rolls. It is practical work and we don't think about it too much beyond getting it right. Rayanoor is a hardworking neighborhood, and we fit right in. We have a few guys who have been here since the start. We drink tea twice a day and just keep at it. There are no fancy signs or bright lights, just the company name painted on the front. People who need wire know where to find us. We don't spend money on ads or anything because word of mouth usually does the job. It is a bit noisy when the machines are running, but that is part of the life. We just try to stay busy and keep the inventory moving out to the customers. It is just us and the steel.
