Sri Swamy Dal Mill

Our mill is located at Plot No. 8/215-1 on Bapuji Road. We are very close to the Anjaneya Statue, which is the main landmark everyone uses to find us. Working in a dal mill means it is always a bit noisy and there is a lot of dust from the grains being processed. We have some old machinery that we've used for years, and it makes a constant thumping sound all day long. The smell of raw pulses is everywhere. We don't have a fancy lobby or a reception desk. It’s just a workspace with sacks of grain stacked up against the walls. We spend our days checking the quality of the dal and making sure the bags are weighed correctly. It’s a lot of physical labor and our clothes are usually covered in grain dust by the time we go home. We have a small corner with a table where we keep our records and a ledger book for the accounts. The roof is made of metal sheets, so it gets very hot in the middle of the day. We usually take a break when the sun is at its peak. We don't do any marketing or have a big sales team. Local farmers and traders just know where we are and what we do. It’s a very basic business, just processing the grain and getting it ready for the market. We've been here for a long time and the statue is like our neighbor.
