Sri Satya Narayana Swamy Parboiled Modern Rice Mill is over in Huzurnagar. We are located in the heart of the district where the rice farming is most active. Our mill handles the parboiling process, which involves soaking and steaming the paddy before it gets dried and milled. It is a large operation with several big tanks and chimneys. You can see the smoke from the boilers from a distance. We started this place because the local farmers needed a reliable spot to bring their crops. The work is seasonal, so we are extremely busy for a few months and then things quiet down a bit. We have a crew that knows how to handle the machinery, though it needs a lot of maintenance. The floor is usually covered in a thin layer of husk dust. We don't have a receptionist or a polished lobby. If you want to talk to us, you usually have to find us out on the floor or near the loading docks. We keep the ledgers by hand mostly, recording every bag that comes in. It’s hot work, especially near the parboiling units, but we are used to it by now. The mill is just a functional place for turning paddy into rice. We don't make a big fuss about it; we just get the job done every day and make sure the mill keeps running smoothly.
