Seva Cattle Rearing

We spend most of our time out here at 102, Kadapagandi Thanda. It’s a quiet part of Jangam, mostly just the sounds of the cattle and the wind. People around here know Seva Cattle Rearing because we’ve been at this spot for a while now. It isn't a fancy setup, just some sheds and the space we need to look after the animals. Mornings start early, usually before the sun is even up, because the cows don't wait for anyone. You get used to the smell of hay and the routine of feeding and cleaning. My boots are usually covered in mud by noon, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with livestock. We don't have a big office or anything like that. If you come by Jangam looking for us, just head towards Kadapagandi Thanda and look for the gate at number 102. Most days someone is around, though we might be out in the back fields. We just keep to ourselves and focus on the rearing. It’s hard work, and my back hurts most evenings, but the animals are healthy and that's what matters at the end of the day. There’s always a fence to fix or a bag of feed to move. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out, right here in our small corner of the world.
