Pochampally Handloom Park Ltd.

Down here on Handloom Park Road in Village Kanumukkala, the days usually go by pretty slowly. Being part of Pochampally Handloom Park Ltd. means we are always around the looms and the different threads. It is situated out in the Nalgonda district, which is a bit of a drive for most people, but it is where we have our setup. This whole Bhoodan Pochampally area has a lot of history with this kind of work, and you can really feel that when you are walking around the village. It gets incredibly hot during the middle of the day, so we try to get most of the heavy lifting done early in the morning. Usually, you can hear the machines running in the background while we go about our daily tasks. The space is quite large, and there is always a bit of dust or stray yarn on the floor. We do not really mind it because that is just part of the job when you work with textiles. Some days are much busier than others, especially when we have a lot of items to ship out. We mostly just talk about the weather or local news while we work. The road outside gets very dusty when the wind starts blowing through the park. It is a practical place built for working rather than looking good for visitors. We have been in Kanumukkala for a long time and we know the rhythms of this place.
