Muthamma Cattle Rearing

My family has been doing this for a long time here at 5-95 in Harijanawada. It's not easy work, waking up early every day to look after the cows. We spend most of our time out in the sheds or making sure there is enough feed for everyone. People in Jangam know where to find us. It's just a small place, nothing fancy at all. We mostly just keep busy with the animals. There’s always something that needs fixing or a cow that needs extra attention. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, but the work has to get done regardless. We’ve stayed in this same spot for years. It’s a quiet life, mostly just us and the cattle. You learn a lot about patience when you work with animals every day. We don't have a big office or anything like that, just the yard and the animals. My neighbors see me out there every morning. It's just what we do here. Some days are longer than others, especially when a calf is born or if someone gets sick. But we manage. We aren't trying to be anything big, just keeping things running at the house. If you walk down the road in Harijanawada, you'll see where we keep the animals. It's practical work that keeps us on our feet. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks. That’s pretty much the whole story of how we spend our time in this village.
