Lali Saree Business

Our little shop, Lali Saree Business, is located at 106 in Kadapagandi Thanda. It’s not a big mall or a fancy store with glass windows. It’s a simple place where we keep different kinds of sarees for the women in our community and the nearby areas of Janagam. We spend our days folding cloth, showing different colors to customers, and talking about what’s new. Sometimes the stock is plenty, and other times we are waiting for the next bundle to arrive. We don't have a big marketing plan. Most people find us because their sister or neighbor told them about a nice saree they bought here. We like the chatter and the social part of the business. It’s more than just selling fabric; it’s about being part of the thanda. We know what people like and what they find too expensive. We try to keep things at a fair price so everyone can have something nice for a wedding or a festival. The shop is a bit cramped when it gets busy, but we manage. It’s just us working hard to run a small business from our home area. No corporate rules, just a friendly spot to look at some clothes and have a chat while you decide. We have been doing this for a few years now and people seem to like how we do things.
