Ikkat Sarees

Our shop is in Bhadravathi Nagar, over in Bhoodanpochampally. This area is famous for weaving, so it made sense for us to be here. We deal with Ikkat sarees, which is what the region is known for. We don't have a massive showroom. Instead, we have a simple space where we keep our stock. Most of the sarees come from local sources nearby. We spend our time checking the weaves and making sure the colors look okay. It’s a slow process sometimes, and we don't rush it. Bhoodanpochampally is a quiet place compared to the big cities, and we like that pace. People come to us specifically when they want something traditional. We don't use a lot of technology. We mostly talk to people face-to-face and show them the fabric. We handle the folding, the storage, and the sales ourselves. Sometimes the shop gets a bit crowded when a whole family comes in at once, but we manage. We aren't part of a big chain or a franchise. It’s just us running this small business in Bhadravathi Nagar. We don't have a marketing plan or any big slogans. We just know about the sarees we sell and we try to be helpful to anyone who asks. It’s a traditional business in a traditional area. We just keep things going one day at a time, making sure the sarees are handled with care and kept out of the sun so they don't fade.
