Tirumala Cottons Ginning And Pressing Mills

Over here in Brahmanpally Village, Gundlapally Dindi Mandal, we run the Tirumala Cottons Ginning And Pressing Mills. It’s a mouthful of a name for a place that is mostly just metal roofs and heavy machines. We are at Sy No 42 1 Aa and 40E. The village is usually quiet, except for when we are in full swing with the harvest. The pressing machines make a rhythmic thud that you can feel in your feet all day long. We have a crew from around the area, mostly guys who grew up in these parts. Some of them have been here since we first opened the gates. We don't have any fancy brochures or a marketing team. We just show up, drink some tea, and start the motors. The cotton comes in big loads and we turn it into solid bales. It's satisfying to see the neat rows of finished product at the end of a shift. The dust is a constant companion and you get used to it after a week or two. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the mud if the monsoon rain comes early. We have to pull them out with the tractor and it's a mess. It's just part of the job. Brahmanpally is a nice area, even if it's a bit out of the way for city folks. We like the pace of life here. Work starts at dawn and we keep going until the light fades. It’s honest work, even if it's tiring.
