Naga Sai Cotton Ginning Mill

Naga Sai Cotton Ginning Mill operates out of Room No 2 in the Gnm Cotton and Oils building. We are located at 4/49 in Chilakamarry Village. It’s a rural area, so the pace is a bit different than the big city. During the harvest season, everything gets very busy. There is cotton fluff everywhere you look, and it sticks to your clothes and hair. We spend our time separating the seeds from the raw cotton fibers. The machines are quite loud, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard. It’s dusty work, but it’s what we know. We aren't some massive textile company; we are just a small part of the process here in the village. Many of the farmers around here bring their loads to us in their tractors or bullock carts. We’ve got a small team, mostly people from right here in the village or the next one over. We don't have a fancy reception area. If you want to talk to us, you just walk into the room where the machines are. Sometimes the power is a bit patchy, so we have to work around those outages and adjust our schedule. It’s a simple life and simple work. We just focus on getting the cotton cleaned and ready for the next stage. When the season is over, things quiet down a bit, but there’s always maintenance to do on the ginning equipment. That's pretty much how it goes for us year after year.
