Asheervad Granites

If you head up to A-204 in the Hill Colony area of Nagarjuna Sagar, you will find us working with the stone. It’s a rugged kind of place, which makes sense because we deal with granite all day long. The colony is situated in a way that you can feel the hills around you, and the air is often filled with that fine stone dust that comes with the territory. We have our yard where the slabs are kept, and the office is just a small part of the whole operation. It’s heavy work, moving those pieces around. We spend a lot of time outside in the sun checking the patterns and the cuts on the granite. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean for very long. Our boots are always grey from the site. We don't have any fancy brochures or a high-tech showroom. People mostly come here to see the actual stone and talk about what they need for their projects. We keep a simple ledger of what we have in stock. The weather can get quite hot out here near the dam, so we try to get the heaviest moving done early in the morning. It’s a basic life, just focusing on the quality of the granite and making sure the trucks are loaded safely. We’ve been here in Hill Colony for a while and everyone knows the routine.
