Berson Stone Pressure

Living and working in Berson is quiet most of the time. Our place, Berson Stone Pressure, is right here in the village and at the post area of Berson. We deal with stones, mainly crushing them down for whatever the local projects need. It is a dusty kind of life, but it pays the bills and keeps us busy. The machinery is loud, so you can hear us working from a distance. We don't have much of a front office, just the site where the work happens. My cousins work here with me. We've lived in this district our whole lives, so we know most of the people who come by looking for materials. The road out here isn't the best, especially after the monsoon, but the trucks still make it through. We spend a lot of time maintaining the equipment because the rocks really wear everything down fast. It’s not a glamorous job, but someone has to do it. We start early when the air is still cool. By midday, it gets pretty hot out here in the open. We take our breaks under the shade of the big tree near the gate. People from the nearby villages know they can come to us if they are building a wall or a small shed. We just give them what we have at a fair rate. There’s no point in making things complicated. We just keep the stones moving and the machines running every single day to get the orders done for our neighbors.
