Shri Badri Kedar Organic Products Private Limited is just a local business we started because we liked the idea of working with organic goods from this region. The house we use as an office is usually pretty quiet. We have a small yard where we sometimes keep crates before they move out to the market. Haldwani is a busy, loud town, but our corner in Kasturi Vihar is tucked away enough that it doesn't feel too frantic most of the time. We mostly deal with the paperwork and the local distribution from here. It’s a lot of manual tracking on paper logs. We don't use many fancy computer systems because we find the old way easier. My brother helps out with the transport and driving the small truck. We’ve been here for a bit and people in the neighborhood know who we are now. It’s not a corporate headquarters by any means. It’s just where we spend our working hours. We drink a lot of ginger tea and talk about the weather while we sort through the day's tasks. Sometimes the monkeys come onto the roof and make a huge racket, which is just part of living in this part of Haldwani. We try to keep everything organized, though it gets a bit messy when a big order comes in. It’s a simple life and we like it that way.
