Gaurav runs things here at Rejuvenation Homes Peora Llp. We are tucked away in village Thapaliya Mehragaon, which is right by Naukuchiatal. It’s a quiet place mostly, unless we have a big project going on and then it gets a bit noisy with all the moving around. My father, M. S. Bisht, has lived in these parts for a long time, so we know the land well. Building houses in the hills isn't like doing it in the city. You have to watch the weather and the roads can be tricky when it rains hard. We spend most of our mornings checking on materials and making sure the guys are doing what they need to. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Usually, someone is making tea in the back while we look over papers on a wooden table. We focus on the work right in front of us. If you come by the village, you’ll see our small spot. It’s not hard to find once you get into the main area of Mehragaon. People around here know us by name, which is how we like it. Sometimes the internet is slow so we do a lot of things the old-fashioned way, just talking to people and writing stuff down in notebooks. It keeps us busy from sunrise until the sun goes behind the mountains. We just try to get the jobs done right without making a big fuss about it.
