Our main spot is the Central Processing Unit located in the village of Mahuakhera Ganj. Himalayan Food Park Private Limited is really a rural operation at its heart. Being out in Mahuakhera means we are surrounded by fields and open space, which is quite a change from the city. The processing unit is a big, sturdy building that stays cool even when the sun is beating down on the village. We have a lot of local folks who come in to work every day, and the atmosphere is pretty casual. You will often see trucks coming and going, loading up goods or dropping off raw materials. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, especially after the monsoon, so we have to plan our transport carefully. Inside the facility, it is all about the machinery and the constant hum of the processors. We don't have a lot of fancy office space; most of our time is spent on the floor making sure everything is running like it should. There is a small area where we keep the records and grab a quick lunch. It can get pretty dusty outside when the wind picks up, but that is just part of living and working in the countryside. We are just a local food company trying to do a decent job in our own corner of the world. It is honest work and we like being part of the village community.
