Grover Rice Mill

You can find us on the main Rudrapur Road in Gadarpur. It’s a busy stretch of road with a lot of trucks and tractors passing by all day long. Being right on the main road means we get a lot of dust, but it also makes it easy for farmers to bring their paddy to us. Grover Rice Mill has been operating here for years. We aren't one of those modern, silent factories. You can hear the hum of our machines from quite a distance when we are in full swing. The seasons dictate our lives. When it is harvest time, we are here day and night. When it is off-season, we spend our time maintaining the equipment and cleaning the yard. It is a gritty job. Your clothes always end up smelling like rice husks and machine oil. We don't have a polished image. If you come by, you'll see us in our work clothes, probably busy with a repair or checking a load. Gadarpur is a hub for this kind of work, and we are just one part of that ecosystem. We know the other millers and the farmers around Rudrapur Road. It’s a community built on hard work and long hours. We don't have any big mission statements. We just mill rice and try to keep the machines running for another day. It can get exhausting, but it is the life we know and we just keep going.
