Daevy Apparel

We set up Daevy Apparel over at Plot No 17 in Bata Colony. It's quite close to JPS Public School, so we hear the noise of the kids during their breaks throughout the day. The building is basically a large workshop where we get all the garment work done from start to finish. We deal with a lot of different types of clothing, mostly focusing on getting the production side right for our orders. It’s not a very fancy setup inside; we have rows of machines and a big heavy cutting table in the middle of the main room. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons during the summer, but we keep the fans going and just get on with the work. We handle everything from the initial cutting of the fabric to the final packing right here on site. Sometimes we have a lot of cardboard boxes stacked up near the entrance when a big shipment is ready to go out. We don't really have a big sales team or a fancy office for meetings. Most of the time, we’re just busy checking the seams or making sure the sizes are consistent across the batch. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the sewing machines over the years. Living and working in Bata Colony has been good for us. We just focus on the clothes and try to make sure everything is okay.
