Camp Exile

We are set up out on Naukuchiatal Road in Bhimtal, which is up in the Nainital district. It’s a beautiful part of the world, and we’re lucky to be working here. Camp Exile isn't a fancy hotel or anything; it’s more about being outside and enjoying the fresh air. We spend a lot of our time making sure the grounds are kept up and the tents are in good shape. The weather can be a bit unpredictable in the hills, so we’re always keeping an eye on the clouds. Being near the road makes it easy for people to find us, but once you’re here, it feels like you’re a long way from the noise of the city. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, from clearing paths to setting up the campfire spots. It’s a simple life, and we like it that way. We don’t have a big reception desk with a guy in a suit. Usually, you’ll find one of us walking around in boots, probably carrying something that needs fixing. People come here when they want to get away from things for a bit, and we just provide the space for them to do that. The Naukuchiatal Road has some great views, and we try to make sure our spot doesn't mess that up. It’s just us and the trees, really. We’ve been in Bhimtal for some time, and we’ve gotten used to the quiet nights and the busy weekends when travelers arrive from the plains.
