Ananad Paddy Products

You can find us in Village Shimla Pistor, right on the main road in Udham Singh Nagar. We’re very close to National Highway 74, which is handy for all the transport trucks that need to get in and out. At Ananad Paddy Products, the mill is where we spend almost all our time. It’s a large space that gets pretty hot during the summer months, but the high ceilings help a little. We have a group of workers who are like family, and we all just pitch in to get the work done. There’s no big hierarchy here; we all know what needs to happen. We take the raw paddy from the nearby farmers and process it through our machines. It’s a lot of checking the moisture and making sure the sorting is done right. The yard is usually quite busy with activity, and we have a big area for drying the grain when the sun is out. We don’t use any marketing language or try to sound like a big company. We are just a local operation on the highway. Sometimes the work is repetitive, but there is a certain rhythm to it that we like. We’ve been here for a good while now and have seen many harvests come and go. It’s a practical business, and we just try to keep the machinery running and the grain moving smoothly without too much fuss.
