Being in a building like this means we have a lot of neighbors who are also running their own businesses. It’s a busy part of Nagpur and the street outside is almost always full of people moving around and transport vehicles loading things up. Inside our space, it’s mostly just boxes and stacks of items waiting to be moved. It isn't a place with fancy displays or bright lights. We just focus on getting the orders right and making sure the inventory is where it should be. The floor is concrete and the shelves are heavy metal because we have to store a lot of weight. Sometimes the noise from the street is so loud you have to shout to be heard, but that's just how Bajeria is. We've been operating out of the Anmol Building for a while now and we have a routine that works for us. Usually, we start the day checking what arrived yesterday and what needs to go out today. It's a lot of lifting and counting, but it keeps us busy. We don’t have any big sales pitches or anything like that. We just do our work and go home when the sun goes down. It’s a basic operation for local people.
