Vijay Juice Centre

We are right at Plot No-87 in Jawahar Nagar, very close to Lokendra Talkies. Because of the cinema, we get a lot of people coming in before the shows start or right after they end. It’s a busy little spot and the sidewalk out front is usually crowded with people waiting for their friends. I spend most of my day cutting up fruit and keeping the ice blocks covered so they don’t melt too fast in the heat. The noise from the theater is something you just get used to after a week or two. I have a couple of helpers who handle the glasses while I manage the billing and the machines. Sometimes the power cuts out right when a movie lets out and we have to do everything by hand, which is a real pain. We have been in this spot for years and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. The menu is just written on a board near the entrance. It gets sticky around the counters no matter how much we wipe them down. People like to stand around and talk about the movies they just saw. In the rainy season, it gets a bit messy with all the umbrellas, but business stays steady. It’s a straightforward job, really. I just make sure we have enough fruit for the weekend rush and keep the machines running. It’s a good local spot for anyone passing through Jawahar Nagar.
