Juice Lounge

We started Juice Lounge here in the Itwari area of Nagpur, right across from the Bank of Baroda. If you know this part of town near Haldiram, you know how busy and hot it gets. Our daily routine is mostly about prepping fruit and making sure the blenders are clean and ready to go. We stay pretty busy in the afternoons when people are out shopping in the market and need something cold to drink. It’s not a big place, just a simple spot to sit for a few minutes. We spend a lot of our time washing glasses and wiping down the counters because sticky juice gets everywhere if you aren't careful. Some people come in every single day after they finish work. We know their orders before they even walk through the door. It’s mostly just us trying to keep things running smooth and making sure the fruit we use is fresh from the morning market. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to wait it out, which is just how things are in this part of Nagpur. We keep the fans going as much as we can to stay cool. We don’t do anything fancy here, just the standard juices and shakes that people expect. The noise from the street is always there in the background, but you get used to it after working here for a while. We just focus on the tasks and try to keep moving through the day.
