Vanita Ahar Kirana Store

We are located right at Mhalgi Nagar Square, specifically on Hudkeshwar Road here in Nagpur. It is a noisy corner but it brings a lot of people our way. Vanita Ahar Kirana Store has been our life for a good number of years now. We sell the usual stuff—flour, oils, spices, and whatever else people need for their kitchens. Nagpur gets incredibly hot in the summer months, so the afternoons are usually quiet while everyone stays indoors. Once the sun starts to go down, the square gets crowded and we stay on our feet until late. The shop is filled with the smell of different spices and grains. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's just bags and jars everywhere you look. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time parking because of the square being so busy, which causes a bit of a headache. We do our best to keep the prices fair for the local families who live around Mhalgi Nagar. You will likely see one of us sitting on the wooden stool near the entrance. We know which brand of oil Mrs. Joshi likes and which biscuits the kids from the next building prefer. It is a lot of repetitive work, but it feels good to be a part of the neighborhood’s daily routine. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to walk in.
