Mohammed Ali & Brothers, Katawala

Our place is right in the middle of Loha Oli in Itwari. If you know the area, you know how busy it gets around here with all the traffic and people moving goods. We are Mohammed Ali & Brothers, Katawala, and we have been operating out of this spot near Chuna Oli and Kirana Oli for a long time. It gets pretty crowded on these streets, especially when the trucks are trying to load up or drop things off. The air always smells like spices from the nearby Kirana market and the dust from the construction materials. We spend most of our day handling the weighing and the heavy lifting that comes with this kind of work. It is a family thing, mostly. My brothers and I are usually around the shop from morning until late evening. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular shop in an old part of town, but it is where we do everything. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here by name. Sometimes we just sit outside on the steps when things slow down for a minute. People come to us because they know we are always here. We don't really do any fancy advertising or anything like that. We just open the shutters, get the scales ready, and start the day. It is hard work and the noise never really stops until the sun goes down, but it is what we know.
