Our full name is Vandanmedu Cardamom Care And Marketing Private Limited, though that is quite a mouthful for everyday talk. Most of the time, we are just busy handling the various aspects of cardamom marketing and making sure things are moving as they should be. It’s a lot of coordination between different people in the trade. The office itself is pretty simple, nothing too flashy, just a place where we sit down and get through the paperwork. Being in Nagpur helps because it is central for a lot of the transport stuff we have to deal with. We have been in this area for a bit, so we know the neighbors and the local shops around the chowk. Usually, the day starts early with checking on how things are going with the latest batches. It isn't always exciting work, but it is important for the farmers and the people we work with. Sometimes the phones don’t stop ringing, and other days it is a bit quieter so we can catch up on filing. We are a small team and we just try to keep things honest and practical.
