Uttam Traders

Uttam Traders is located right opposite the Anand Talkies lane on Somwar Bazar Road in Sitabuldi. We have a bit of a double address since it’s listed as Sitabuldi Sitabuldi, but basically, we are right there by the old cinema lane. The area is always buzzing, especially on Mondays when the bazar is in full swing. It gets so crowded you can barely walk on the pavement sometimes. Our shop is a familiar sight for the locals who have been living in this part of town for decades. We sell a bit of everything that people might need for their daily trades. The shelves are packed high, and sometimes I even forget what we have at the very top. We use a wooden ladder that is probably older than I am to reach the high spots. It is a bit dusty inside because of all the traffic on Somwar Bazar Road, but we try to keep it clean. We have a small stool behind the counter where we take turns sitting. Most of our customers are regulars who stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. We do not have air conditioning, just a couple of old ceiling fans that creak a bit. It is a honest, local business and we are happy to be part of the Sitabuldi community. We plan to stay right here across from the talkies for a long time.
