Prashant Bamboo Machines

Our place is at No.12, Jamuna 2, right by Dr Ambedkar Square on CA Road. It's a busy spot in the city. We work with machines that process bamboo. It’s a bit of a niche thing, I guess. Not everyone is looking for bamboo equipment, but there’s enough work to keep us going. The shop isn't very large, so things are usually packed in pretty tight. We have some of the smaller machines on display, and the bigger ones are usually handled as they come in. It can get quite dusty because of the nature of the material we work with. Bamboo fibers get everywhere if you aren't careful. We’ve been here for a good amount of time, and most of the neighboring shopkeepers know us by name. It’s a friendly enough neighborhood. Sometimes we have customers coming from quite far away just to see how the machines run. We try to show them how it works on a piece of scrap wood or bamboo we have lying around. The office part of the building is just a desk with a lot of papers and some old catalogs. It’s not very organized, but we know where everything is. We don't use a lot of fancy software to run things. Most of it is done by hand or on an old computer that takes a while to start up. We just like making machines that work. It is simple enough for us to manage without a big team of people or expensive ads.
