Tectona Agroforest Private Limited

Our office is at 11, Craddock Town on Abhyankar Road in Nagpur. It’s a bit different from being right on a farm, but this is where we handle the business side of Tectona Agroforest Private Limited. The name Tectona comes from the scientific name for teak, and that gives you an idea of what we are interested in. We focus on trees and how they can be part of farming, which isn't always something people think about. Nagpur is a busy city, and being here helps us stay connected with people who want to invest in land or forestry projects. We are a small team, and it’s not some massive corporate headquarters. It’s just a regular office where we drink too much tea and try to keep up with all the regulations. We aren't trying to sell you a dream or anything like that. We just think that growing trees makes a lot of sense for the long term. It’s a slow business—trees don’t grow overnight—and we have to be patient. We spend a lot of time out on the sites, checking on the saplings and talking to the people on the ground. It’s honest work, even if it involves more paperwork than we’d like. We just try to be straightforward about what we do and how things are going with the plantation projects we manage.
