Shyamkumar Tea Merchant is right at Plot No. 271, Nehru Putla Chowk in the Itwari area. If you know Itwari, you know it is always humming with people and business. Being near the chowk means we see everyone passing by. We are tea merchants, and that means our whole day revolves around the smell of tea leaves and the sound of the market. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. We spend our hours talking to suppliers and making sure the tea we have is what the local people want. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a place with plenty of tea and a few chairs for when friends drop in.
