Shri Sainath Departmental & General Stores

Our shop, Shri Sainath Departmental & General Stores, is located right at Plot No. 1 in Medical Square. This part of Nagpur, near Hanuman Nagar, is always moving. Being near the hospital area means we see all sorts of people every day. Some are locals who live just around the corner, and others are just passing through for work or appointments. We try to keep a bit of everything, from pulses and rice to shampoos and batteries. It’s a departmental store but on a smaller, local scale. We don't have fancy shopping carts, just hand baskets and a counter where we bag everything up for you. The shop is often full of crates of milk or bread in the morning. It can get a bit messy during the rush hours when everyone wants their stuff at the same time. I’ve been behind this counter for years. I know which brand of tea the lady from the third floor likes and which biscuits the kids want. We don’t do any fancy marketing stuff. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the customers to come. It’s a practical way to run things. Sometimes the inventory is a bit behind, or we run out of something popular, but we usually get it back in a day or two. It’s a family-run place, and we take things as they come. No big frills here, just a regular shop.
