Shri Sai General Store

Shri Sai General Store is situated in a quiet residential area of Nagpur, at 1, pin code 440008. Since we are located away from the main commercial hubs, our customers are almost exclusively the people who live in the surrounding houses. We keep a stock of daily necessities like eggs, bread, milk, and various cleaning supplies. The shop is basically a converted room on the ground floor of our home. This makes it easy for us to open up early and stay late if someone knocks on the door after hours. The interior is very basic, with simple metal racks and a small wooden counter. We don't have any employees, so we do all the ordering and stocking ourselves. Sometimes the delivery truck can't make it down the narrow street, so we have to carry the boxes in by hand. It’s a lot of physical labor but it keeps us fit. We know almost everyone who walks through the door by their first name. We often hear about their families and their jobs while we are bagging their groceries. It feels more like helping out neighbors than running a business sometimes. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one with the name Shri Sai General Store. We are happy with how things are and don't plan on making any big changes as long as the neighbors keep coming.
