Located on Central Bazar Road, right in the heart of the Buldi and Ramdaspeth area, our shop stays right in the middle of all the action. It is one of those parts of town where there is never a quiet moment. We deal with a lot of people every day, from office workers catching a quick snack to housewives doing their weekly kirana shopping. The shelves are packed with pulses, rice, and all the dry goods you’d expect. It gets a bit dusty with all the cars going by outside, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the jars. We’ve got a narrow space, so we have to be smart about where we put everything. Sometimes things get a bit disorganized during the rush hours, but we find our way through it. My father always said that as long as you have the basics, people will keep coming back. We don't use any computers or anything; it’s all done with a pen and a notebook. Sometimes the calculations take a second longer, but nobody seems to mind much. We see a lot of familiar faces, and we hear a lot of stories about what’s happening in the city. It’s a busy life, standing on our feet most of the day, but it’s what we know. We just try to keep the shop stocked and the regulars happy without making any big fuss. It is a long day but we enjoy the rhythm of the city.
