Shree Mahalxmi Camphor Tablets is situated out in Butibori Midc. If you have ever been to this industrial area, you know it’s quite spread out and mostly filled with factories and manufacturing units. Our place is one of those units. The first thing anyone notices when they step inside is the smell of camphor. It’s very strong and stays with you even after you leave. We make the tablets right here using machines that press the powder into the shapes people use for their rituals or for keeping clothes fresh. It is a very repetitive job, but we have a rhythm down. The floors are usually dusted with a bit of white powder from the production process. We spend our hours monitoring the machines and packing the finished tablets into plastic bags. There is no big office suite here, just a small desk near the entrance where we keep the ledger and handle the billing. We don't have a big staff, just a few local guys who know the machines well.
