Shika Arts

Shika Arts is located in the Rawell Building at 15, Ramdaspeth. It’s a solid old building and our space is on one of the floors there. We have a lot of different things going on, mostly related to art and crafts. It isn’t a very big shop, so we have to be careful about where we put everything. The walls are mostly covered in stuff we’ve collected or are getting ready to sell. Ramdaspeth is a nice part of town, though it gets quite busy during the workday. We don’t have any fancy signs or big advertisements. Most people just find us because they know the building or they heard about us from someone else. It’s a bit cluttered in here, and I’m always losing my glasses under a pile of papers. We don’t have a formal way of doing things; we just handle whatever comes up. If a customer has a question, we just answer it honestly. We don’t try to act like we’re some huge company. It’s just a few of us making sure the business keeps running. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time talking to the other people in the building. It’s a comfortable, simple way to spend the day working.
