Durgesh Shahu Photography

Our photography setup, Durgesh Shahu Photography, is over in Shanti Nagar Vhb Colony, specifically at I 49. It is pretty easy to find if you know where the Durga Mandir is because we are right near there. Being close to the temple means there is always a lot of activity and people around, which is nice. We mostly spend our time handling cameras and looking at frames. Some days are packed with shoots and other days we are just sitting here editing for hours. The office isn't anything corporate; it's more like a working room with a lot of gear scattered around. We have been in Shanti Nagar for a while now and the locals know us. Sometimes people just drop by to ask about prices or to see if we can do a quick portrait. It gets a bit dusty being near the road but that's just how it is. We try to keep the equipment clean though. We take photos of all sorts of things, whatever people need really. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying tripods and setting up lights. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know how to handle a lens. The light in this part of the colony is actually quite good in the evenings. We just keep doing what we do, one photo at a time. It’s a simple life but we like it.
