Shaktisanjivan Mahila Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of Tarodi village in the Kamptee area. We use a space at house number 545, which is Dashrath Gulabrao Kshirsagar’s place. It's a quiet spot most days, but it gets pretty active when the harvest comes around. All of us are local women who have been working these fields for as long as we can remember. We didn't want to keep doing everything on our own, so we decided to get together and form this group. It’s mostly about making sure we can get our produce to where it needs to go without too much trouble. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and the roads in Kamptee get muddy, but we still meet up to figure things out. We don’t have a fancy corporate office with desks and computers everywhere. Instead, we sit together and talk about what crops are doing well and what needs more water. It’s a very local thing, just neighbors helping neighbors. Dashrath’s house has become the main point for everyone to gather. We spent a lot of time getting the paperwork right to start this company. It wasn’t easy, but we felt it was the right step for the families here in Tarodi. We focus on the daily tasks like sorting through what we’ve grown and figuring out the next planting cycle. It’s honest work that keeps us busy from sunrise to sunset. We are just glad to have a place of our own where we can be ourselves.
