About Shakib Kirana And General Store – Food & Beverages in Nagpur
I open the shop early here on Kidwai Road because people in Mominpura need their milk and bread before work starts. It’s a small place, honestly. We have been here for a while and most folks who walk in are faces I recognize from the neighborhood. There is usually a bit of dust from the road, so I spend a good amount of time dusting off the biscuit packets and the oil tins. It gets busy in the evenings when the sun goes down and everyone is heading home to cook. We try to keep the basics like lentils, soap, and those small things kids ask for after school. Sometimes the crates get piled up high and it’s hard to move around, but that is just how it goes in a small kirana store. I don’t have a big staff or anything, just a couple of us helping out and making sure the bags are tied tight. The street outside can get loud with the rickshaws, but inside it’s just the sound of the fan and people asking for prices. We don't do anything fancy here, just sell what people use in their kitchens every single day. If we run out of something, I try to get it back on the shelf by the next morning. It is a simple life running a shop near the Eid Gah, keeping things moving and talking to the regulars about their day while I weigh out the sugar.
