Savrabh Plastics

Savrabh Plastics sits on Plot No. 54 along Kamptee Road, which is a busy stretch of road to say the least. We are right near New Alex Mechanical Works, so there is usually the sound of engines revving or tools clanging coming from next door. Opposite us is the Maruti Automotive showroom, which looks a lot flashier than our place does. Our building is more of a practical space where we store and sell various plastic goods. It’s a big open area that gets pretty hot during the summer months because the roof is high and made of metal sheets. We spend a lot of time organizing the deliveries that come in on the big trucks. Sometimes the traffic on Kamptee Road is so bad that the drivers get frustrated, so we have to help them navigate into our loading area. It’s not a glamorous job, mostly just checking lists and making sure the right boxes go to the right people. We have a small corner with a table where we sit to have our lunch and do the paperwork. There is a lot of dust that comes off the main road, so we are constantly wiping down the stock to keep it looking decent. It is a straightforward business without any bells and whistles. We work hard, we close up when the sun goes down, and we do it all again the next day. The neighbors are good people, and we all help each other out when things get a bit too hectic.
