Sarve Kirana Store

Sarve Kirana Store is located at Mansar Chowk on Ramtek Road in Mansar. It is a good spot because a lot of people pass through the chowk on their way to other places. The road is often busy with trucks and buses. I run the shop and stay here from morning until late evening. It is a kirana store, so I mostly deal in grocery items like dal, rice, and oils. I have some big metal containers for the loose items that people buy by the kilo. The shop is not very large, but it is enough for what I do. I have a small counter where I sit and wait for customers. When it rains, the water sometimes splashes in from the road, so I have to be careful about the sacks on the floor. I don't have a lot of help, so I do most of the heavy lifting myself. The life here in Mansar is quiet in some ways but the road keeps things moving. I see a lot of the same faces every day, people who live nearby and come in for their daily supplies. I try to keep the prices fair and the stock fresh. There is no air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a bit. It’s a very basic setup. I just focus on keeping the shelves full and the shop open for whoever needs something.
