Sarang Kirana Store

Sarang Kirana Store is located on Hasanbag Road in Nagpur. It’s a typical grocery shop that caters to the families living around this part of the city. We have been here for several years, and the shop is packed with all sorts of things from floor to ceiling. You’ll see big open sacks of rice and wheat near the entrance. The shelves are filled with jars of spices, tea packets, and various cleaning supplies. Hasanbag Road is always quite busy, so there is a lot of noise and dust coming in from the street. I try to keep the place as clean as I can, but it’s a constant job. People stop by on their way home from work to pick up whatever they need for their evening meal. We don't have any bright neon signs or fancy displays. It’s just a plain shop with a heavy wooden counter. I use an old calculator to figure out the totals, and I write things down in a ledger. The summer heat in Nagpur can be very tough, so the shop feels a bit like an oven in the middle of the day. We have a small fan that doesn't do much, but we manage. Most of our customers are people who have been coming to us for years. They know where everything is kept, so they often just reach for it themselves. It's a very local, neighborhood kind of place.
